this is an experimental voice controlled synth for improvised music

at the top we've got six oscillators

when we start the instrument, it's playing on preset 1 (indicated by the yellow square in row 2)

we can flick through the presets with the arrow keys

the best way to play the instrument is with your voice

we can press any of the qwerty keys to switch an oscillator into "live mode"

(you can see the texture on the floating cube change)

now we can control the pitch of the chosen with the pitch of our voice

try experimenting with different ratios of droning tones and live tones

row three shows us if the delay effect is connected

we can press the 'a' key to connect it

you'll see if it's connected because the white lines will join the cloudy globe to the cubes

the bottom row controls the distortion effect (by default it is set to "light" distortion)

if you press the 'd' key anywher in the green zone it will go into "heavy" distortion

the further right it is the more heavy it is

to return to light distortion you need to press 'd' again, but you need to time it so it's in the pink square to bounce the ball back
